IKEA Southampton are looking to welcome a Visual Merchandiser to join our amazing, creative and passionate team. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to enhance our store's visual appeal and drive sales. As a Visual Merchandiser, you will be responsible for designing and implementing eye-catching displays, arranging merchandise to highlight key products, and ensuring our store layout is both attractive and functional. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced retail environment.

WHAT WE OFFERStart date will be 28th of June. Interviews will be between 20th and 27th of May. Starting salary of 27,550 based on competence and experience (please note that this is the full-time equivalent salary, and if you are offered a part-time role then your salary will be a pro rata amount). We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview. 39 hours a week, working 5 days per week. Ordinary shifts will be Monday to Friday, however, availability to work ad hoc shifts to meet business needs at the weekend is required. Standard shift times are between 07:30am and 16:00pm. Please note that a part-time role may be offered, and in this case, your number of working days and shift patterns may differ.

You have a degree/experience in a relevant creative field. A working knowledge in design software such as Autocad, REVIT, Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office, is preferred. You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to generate new ideas to inspire our customers. You have a hands-on approach, feeling at ease working with various hand tools and comfortable working at heights.
WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAYUse visual merchandising competence to strengthen the uniqueness of the IKEA identity in range presentation solutions in the store by working with store layout, range presentation and vitality. Understanding the local market to plan and implement relevant, inspiring, affordable and commercial range presentation solutions that reflect a wide variety of styles, price levels, meet the many individual tastes and exceed our visitor's expectations. Collaborate with the Communication & Interior Design team and other functions, act quickly to exploit commercial opportunities and understand the impact of actions on the financial results. Working with the commercial calendar to implement range changes.
