WHAT YOU\’LL NEED TO HAVE • Qualification in Carpentry NVQ Level 2 Diploma in Wood Occupations/Site Carpentry is essential• Previous carpentry experience gained in a commercial business, ideally retail fit-out or from exhibition installations, with good attention to detail. • You are excited about home furnishings, design and how people live, and have the ability to generate new ideas to inspire our customers. • Proven ability to prioritise and organise your workload in order to make the most efficient use of available time and meet agreed goals and deadlines. • Clear communication with the ability to explain concepts verbally and with visual interpretation.WHAT YOU\’LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY • Following work briefs agreed with colleagues to implement all store media, such as wall constructions, floor laying, painting and the building of complex furniture installations.• Planning and ordering materials and resources, ensuring accurate costs are sought and agreed in order to maximise efficiency and minimise costs.• Working with your colleagues to make sure the store is always in excellent shape to inspire our customers.• Focus on key tasks to meet the needs and expectations of store visitors and minimise disruption when working on the shop floor• Be conscious of the importance of safety at all times while working on the shop floor and take fast action when safety is compromised.WE CARE FOR THE PEOPLE It takes the diversity of thought, background, and culture to make great ideas a reality.
