IKEA Cardiff is looking for Early Morning Warehouse Operatives to join our hardworking Fulfilment team. These are 30‑hour weekly contracts with shifts between 04:00 am and 10:00 am.

Induction dates: Sunday 14 December and Sunday 21 December – applicants must be able to attend both dates to start.

Minimum age: 18 years due to health & safety requirements.

Working hours and compensation:

  • Competitive hourly rate of £12.60.
  • Extra night‑shift allowance of £2.25 per hour for hours worked between 04:00 am and 06:00 am.
  • 30 hours per week, 5 days a week (6‑hour shifts) including 3 out of 4 weekends.
  • Shift times 04:00 am to 10:00 am.

What you’ll need to have:

  • Comfortable using computers & handheld devices for stock checking and placement.
  • Relevant warehouse, logistics or order fulfilment experience preferred.
  • Proactive with initiative, efficient and effective task completion.
  • Adaptable mindset – switch between tasks/areas, work within tight timeframes.
  • Ability to work with guidance to achieve set goals.
  • Forklift experience or desire to learn is welcomed.

What you’ll be doing day to day:

  • Receive inbound deliveries and move them to sales locations.
  • Cross‑check paperwork & use internal systems to ensure correct stock quantity & placement.
  • Willingness to be trained as a first aid responder as part of duties.
  • Opportunity to develop forklift skills – applications with forklift experience or willingness to learn welcomed.
  • Commit to health, safety & security rules, help prevent incidents.
  • Contribute to optimised daily fulfilment operations – lean, simple, cost‑conscious, sharing good examples.
  • Manual handling using safety protocols; use of pump trucks.
