IKEA Birmingham are looking to welcome Food and Beverage Assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team. “Working as a Food Co-worker at IKEA involves preparing delicious meals, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment, and providing excellent customer service to create a memorable dining experience.”
What we offer:
- Start Date of employment will be: 28th of February
- Competitive hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
- We have 30hr contracts working 5 x 6hr shifts over 7 days between the hours of 6am and 11pm.
- For this role we require daytime availability during the week; you will still work a max of 2 evenings and weekends.
- All contracts will receive every 4th weekend off.
- We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.
- All interviews will take place on the 10th of February 2026.

What you’ll need to have:
- Prior food and customer service experience is a plus, but not required if you are hands-on and willing to roll up your sleeves.
- Ability to work in an extremely fast-paced environment.
- Be self-reliant and motivated, ready to work independently and as part of our team.
- Ability to remain organised and detail-oriented, even when things get busy.
- Due to health and safety regulations all applicants must be over the age of 18.
What you’ll be doing day to day:
- The role will involve a variety of tasks, including serving food, taking payment at tills, cleaning and clearing the restaurant, and working behind the scenes to prepare food.
- Customer Focused: work together to create the best customer experience. Listen, act, and exceed their expectations every day.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both customers and co-workers.
- Support your colleagues, lend a hand, and foster a positive work environment, contributing to a happy team.
