IKEA Peterborough CDC is seeking Automated Warehouse Specialists to join their team.

Job Information

  • The Start Date of employment will be 10th of December.
  • Starting salary of £31,500 per annum, based on competence and experience.
  • 40 Hours per week, availability required between 06:00am - 22:00pm, shifts will rotate between AM, Mid and PM. We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE

  • University degree (Economics, Logistics, Supply Chain Management) or proven performance in logistics/commercial/supply chain management.
  • 1‑2 years’ technical/automation experience.
  • Experience of working at tactical, operational and strategic levels.
  • Retail/home furnishing/supply chain/customer service experience and interest.
  • Proven analytical and numerical skills with the ability to identify required actions.
  • Experience in problem solving and improving ways of working with the ability to analyse end‑user needs.
  • Excellent computer skills.
  • Fluent in English both written and verbal.
  • Proven ability to prioritise and organise work in order to make the most efficient use of time available.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY

  • Contribute to high performing daily operational processes by developing and optimising the automation systems capabilities with a proactive approach and the End‑to‑End Fulfilment processes in mind.
  • Responsible for handling errors, minor bug fixes and maintaining a neat and clean environment to secure the machines' high performance in operations.
  • Responsible for implementing and coordinating the level 0 support, performing connected analyses in case of disturbances and reacting in case of disruption/problems within the automations’ configuration and acting upon system failures.
  • Accountable for system deployments (implementing system developments and set‑up aligned with operations) including developing the needed competencies to operate the automated solution and acting as change agent towards leaders and co‑workers.
  • Responsible for follow‑up, creating actions based on the agreed automation Key Performance Indicators and tracking the process according to system set up definition.
  • Within the role, there will be times where we are looking to bring new automation within the unit; it will be the responsibility of the AWS co‑workers to adapt and support the integration of any new automation or projects.
