IKEA Southampton are looking to welcome a Customer Warehouse Assistant to join our delightful and friendly team.
WHAT WE OFFER
- Hourly rate of £13.45 per hour.
- 12, 16 and 24 hours a week contracts, which will include weekend working.
- These are permanent contracts where you will be working throughout the year, including the holiday periods.

- Shift times will be between 09:00am and 21:30pm for the Self-Serve Warehouse roles.
- Shift times will be between 06:00am and 21:30pm for the Customer Order Picking roles.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- Previous warehouse experience is beneficial but not essential; all you will need is the motivation to make things happen in a fast‑paced environment.
- Ability to prioritise and organise your workload swiftly and with attention to detail.
- Proven experience in utilising technical equipment to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Ensure you are prepared to initiate tasks on your own initiative and to participate actively in group efforts.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
ORDER PICKER
- You will be collecting products and packages from throughout the store, preparing them for collection by our customers.
- You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with the IKEA Health, Safety & Security Rules & Regulations in your area.
- You will work to ensure the efficiency of the fulfilment operation by working in simple, cost‑conscious ways, developing, and sharing good examples of ways of working.
CUSTOMER SELF‑SERVE WAREHOUSE
- You will be maintaining the Self‑Serve Warehouse, which means condensing and moving stock, supporting customers with their questions, and making sure that IKEA's flatpack products are accessible, stocked and ready for our customers to purchase.
- This is a physical role as you will be manual handling of heavy stock.
- Ensure all safety protocols and regulations are followed for a secure environment for both our customers and co‑workers.
