IKEA Nottingham is looking for part‑time Swedish Food Market & Bistro Assistants to join our delightful and hardworking team.

What we offer:

  • Start date of employment: 5th July 2026
  • Competitive hourly rate: £13.45 per hour
  • 12 hours per week, working 3 days out of 7 and 3 out of 4 weekends
  • Working hours between 8 am and 9:30 pm
  • Flexibility to match your life and our business needs (to be discussed in interview)
  • Final offers contingent upon successful completion of mandatory background checks (medical questionnaire)

What you’ll need to have:

  • Previous food or customer‑service experience is beneficial but not required
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment
  • Self‑reliant and motivated, able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for maintaining high cleanliness standards
  • Ability to remain organised and detail‑oriented, even during busy periods
  • 18 years of age or older in compliance with health and safety guidelines

What you’ll be doing day‑to‑day:

  • Prepare, cook and serve food; keep the Swedish Food Market and Bistro spotless, safe and welcoming
  • Serve customers at the bistro till and create an exceptional customer experience
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulatory requirements, including the removal of facial and ear piercings while on duty
  • Support colleagues, lend a hand, and contribute to a positive work environment
  • Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene
  • Perform manual handling safely
