IKEA Manchester, are looking to welcome a Warehouse Operations Coordinator - Nightshift

Help keep our warehouse buzzing through the night.

You’ll set the pace for the night, brief the team with clarity and confidence, and work alongside our Team Leaders to keep everything running smoothly.

You’ll track progress, jump in on the floor when it counts, and lead with positivity and purpose.

Whether you’re on a forklift or a pump truck, you’ll move goods safely and help build a space where everyone feels valued, supported and ready to do their best — the IKEA way.

WHAT WE OFFER

  • The Start Date of employment will be: 31st of July.
  • Starting salary off £27,540 per annum, based on competence and experience. Additional nightshift of £2.25ph between the hours of 10pm & 6am.
  • 39 hours working 5 nights per week including alternative weekends.
  • Working hours are between 10pm to 10am.
  • We can discuss flexibility to match your life and our business needs during the interview.

Final offers of employment are contingent upon clear results in mandatory medical questionnaire.

  • Proven experience in operations, fulfilment, or warehouse environments.
  • Confident leading teams and comfortable making decisions during night operations.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills.
  • Hands‑on approach with a willingness to step in and support the team when required.
  • High attention to detail and a focus on delivering results.
  • Not afraid to lead, challenge, and motivate others.
  • Able to work nights and thrive in a fast‑moving operational setting.
  • WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
  • Plan, organise, and allocate resources effectively to meet customer demand.
  • Previous forklift experience is essential; full IKEA training will be given.
  • Deliver clear and engaging daily team briefings to set priorities and expectations.
  • Support the Team Leaders to achieve operational excellence.
  • Monitor progress throughout the shift, adjusting plans as required to maintain performance.
  • Be hands‑on when needed, supporting the team on the floor to ensure targets are met.
  • Maintain strong attention to detail, ensuring accurate processes and high operational standards.
  • Lead the team confidently, fostering a positive, motivated, and inclusive working environment.
  • Work with or around heavy machinery such as forklift trucks, counterbalance, and pump trucks to safely and efficiently transport heavy goods within the warehouse.
