IKEA Exeter is hiring Food and Beverage Assistants for our Customer Restaurant, Kitchen Production, and Swedish Food Market/Bistro areas. These are 12‑hour permanent contracts that run throughout the year in a close‑knit team.

What we offer:

  • Group assessment centre on Monday, 15 June in the evening in store.
  • Start date Saturday, 04 July.
  • Hourly rate £13.45 per hour.
  • Availability to work two 6‑hour shifts on Saturdays and Sundays, plus ad‑hoc shifts Monday‑Friday.
  • Flexible working arrangements can be discussed during the interview.

Requirements:

  • Experience in food service and customer care is valued; practical, motivated people welcomed.

  • Organised, detail‑oriented under busy conditions.
  • Age 18 or older due to health and safety regulations.

Day‑to‑day responsibilities:

  • Ensure safety protocols and regulations are followed.
  • Prepare and cook meals using ovens and kitchen equipment.
  • Prepare for the next day's trade, manage food waste and maintain high cleanliness standards.
  • Handle cash payments at tills, clean and clear the restaurant area, work in the busy dish‑room.
  • Support colleagues, help out, and build a positive work environment for team and customers.
