- WHAT YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE
- While professional HR qualifications such as CIPD are beneficial, we prioritise and deeply value proven strategic leadership experience in managing and developing people functions, demonstrating a clear ability to drive organisational success through effective people strategies.
- Relevant experience in People and Culture within the retail or a related sector.
- Relevant University degree is beneficial but not essential.
- Able to build positive relationships and create a culture where everyone feels valued.

- WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY
As part of the store senior management group you will
- Drive the comprehensive People agenda across a multi-site way of working, including Chester and Preston, ensuring alignment with organisational goals and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Guide and implement operational requirements, collaborating with stakeholders to support the implementation of the full range of People and Culture (P&C) strategy, solutions and activities.
- Ensure the consistent application of the full range of people and culture strategy, solutions and activities.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure people and culture priorities are included in business plans.
- Guide and implement operational requirements to coach, support and build the competency of stakeholders to improve the application of people and culture solutions.
- Manage P&C Business Partners, coordinators and people planners within the unit to provide adequate support to the business.
- Oversee investigations into co-worker claims of unfair treatment or management charges of misconduct or non compliance, and communicate findings to manager, P&C Business Partner, and Legal as appropriate.
- Monitor and resolve discipline issues, if appropriate, and if Union-represented, refer to union disciplinary process.
- Coach Managers on solutions related to workforce, talent, co-worker engagement, organisational effectiveness, change management and Ingka Total Rewards.
- Identify, evaluate and monitor actual and potential labour issues evolving internally or externally that could create significant risks for IKEA.
- Supervise the implementation and follow up on the IKEA Employment standards and compliance in your unit.
- Ensure Ingka Total Rewards strategy is followed.
- Shape and develop People strategy with a business perspective.
- Participate and represent People & Culture in strategic business plan development and ongoing business meetings and decisions.
- Ensure that Line managers develop business and leadership competence, and Performance Management for today & tomorrow by using the relevant competence building tools and methods to secure the wonderful customer experience in a multi-channel environment.
- Actively foster an ongoing open dialogue with co-workers, their associations and other organizations, contributing to successful involvement of co-worker committees/trade unions to secure social partner commitment and alignment to contribute to the business needs, strategic goals and implementation of the business transformations.
- Responsible for ensuring that the talent and succession goals for the assigned business areas are being consciously achieved, providing advice and expertise to line managers to secure a quality and timely process.
- Provide co-worker relations expertise, co-worker insights and advice to the business functions, Unit P&C Business Partners in collaboration with Co-worker Relations Specialists
- Contribute with expertise to leadership development of P&C Business Partners to ensure succession planning within the country.
- Ensure Ingka Total Rewards framework and processes implementation and compliance in the Unit.
