We are currently recruiting for a lawyer/legal advisor to join the Debt & Equity Capital Markets legal team at an international investment bank in London. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing legal and/or regulatory advice and transactional support to the bank’s non-syndicated EMTN business. This role necessitates qualification as a solicitor of England and Wales or another jurisdiction, and experience working on securities issuance programmes. Core responsibilities: Providing legal structuring advice for new, bespoke products (in the form of securities) Legal risk sign-off for English law governed securities related matters by participating in business approval committees, including monitoring and assessing legal, regulatory and reputational risk in issuance structures. This involves working closely with structuring teams. Advising on regulatory developments affecting English law securities, distribution and issuance vehicles across Europe, including MiFID II, PRIIPS, BMR, PD/PR, etc., and equivalent regulation in the UK. Preparation of programme securities issuance documentation to a high standard (which may be EMTNs, Notes, Warrants or Certificates as well as third-party MTNs and SPV Issuers). Ensuring that all advice and documentation is of a high quality, efficiently provided and manages legal risk in accordance with prevailing CIB Legal standards. Working collaboratively with other team members to manage workload. Experience and skills: English qualified lawyer with a minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification experience A confident and robust personality who is capable of working both autonomously and collaboratively as part of a cross-disciplinary team/department Clear, concise and effective communicator (both written and oral) Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise work Strong securities law understanding Fluency (written and spoken) in English Collegiate and collaborative attitude Ability to handle a large and diverse workload Please submit your CV immediately in order to be considered for this role. #J-18808-Ljbffr
