This is a production role required for the assembly and production of our laser systems.
PRIMARY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assembly and test of production products, including optic/laser alignment, fault diagnosis; result monitoring and analysis.
- Final optical assembly of advanced laser products.
- Optical alignment and test of advanced laser products.
- Laser set up using sophisticated optical techniques.
- Laser calibration using electronic control.
- Improve laser build documentation.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Degree or equivalent in a laser science or related subject or equivalent knowledge gained through working in a laser production environment.
- Experience of aligning and testing opto-electronic/laser equipment.
- Strong innovation, analytical and diagnostic skills.
- Knowledge and experience of quality control/process improvement methods.
- Excellent communication skills, in particular verbal skills to keep team up to date with progress.
- Ability to work as part of a team.
- Able to work to deadlines.

WORKING CONDITIONS:
Working conditions typical of a climate controlled and professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers.
