You must have a CELTA, Trinity TESOL, or equivalent initial teaching qualification.

The role is open only to those with the right to work in the UK.

You must have experience teaching Young Learners.

You must have full mastery of English across all 4 skills to CEFR C2/IELTS band 8.

Job Description:

• To teach any timetabled classes, at any level and to provide emergency cover when not otherwise timetabled. Mornings only.
• To manage YL classrooms effectively and guide the students in educational activities and social programme excursions.
• To supervise afternoon and evening social activities on a rota basis, and to provide out of hours ‘on-call’ support to Group Leaders in case of emergency.
• To apply Safeguarding principles and work in accordance with the IH Younger Learners’ Policy and Code of Conduct.
• To maintain accurate and up-to-date administrative records, including: register, weekly work plan, student progress reports (when requested), final certificate reports etc.
• To maintain a professional appearance in accordance with the Conditions of Employment; to maintain a pleasant working environment, e.g. desk and classroom tidiness and cleanliness.
• To complete pastoral duties such as wake-up and bed-time duties on a rota basis.
