We’re excited to be hiring a confident, delivery-focused Events and Operations Lead to provide maternity cover during a pivotal period for IHR. This is a hands-on role sitting at the centre of the business, combining operational leadership with end-to-end ownership of our events programme. You will act as the operational anchor for the team, ensuring accountability across departments while driving the planning and delivery of high-quality, commercially successful events. This role requires someone who can bring structure, clarity and momentum across the business, while also leading on the creation and execution of event agendas, speaker collaboration and partner engagement. We’re looking for someone who is equally comfortable setting direction as they are rolling up their sleeves to deliver. Whilst we have an office based in London for collaboration, we operate a hybrid home/office model.
About You
- We’re looking for a pragmatic, highly organised operator who thrives in fast-paced environments and can confidently own both internal operations and external event delivery.
- Strong operations, programme or project management experience within a fast-paced environment.
- Proven experience delivering events or complex programmes end-to-end.
- Confident working with senior stakeholders and holding teams accountable for delivery.
- Experience supporting leadership teams and coordinating cross-functional initiatives.
- Strong experience in agenda creation, speaker sourcing and stakeholder management.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure with strong problem-solving ability.
- Commercially aware and confident managing budgets and partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
- Ensure accountability and delivery across all departments, maintaining clarity on goals, ownership and timelines.
- Act as the central operational point of contact, supporting teams and escalating issues where needed.
- Support the Senior Leadership Team with planning, coordination and execution of key business initiatives.
- Maintain strong internal communication rhythms, tracking actions and ensuring momentum is sustained.
- Own the end-to-end planning and delivery of IHR’s events portfolio.
- Create and shape event agendas aligned to commercial and audience objectives.
- Source, secure and manage speakers, building strong relationships and ensuring high-quality contributions.
- Collaborate with partners and sponsors to align on content, messaging and delivery expectations.
