Join IHG’s Human Rights team in a newly created role focused on supporting the next phase of the programme’s development as it grows in scope and maturity. You'll report to our Human Rights Director, based in our Windsor head office, in a small, close-knit team that values openness, agility and autonomy. This is hands-on, delivery-focused work: a clear set of workstreams that you own and drive through to real impact across the business.

What you'll do

  • Help shape, maintain, and improve IHG’s human rights programme.
  • Develop and drive implementation of action plans on salient human rights issues, heightened due diligence in high-risk and conflict-affected markets, and engagement with business partners.
  • Develop processes, guidance and tools to strengthen how we investigate and remediate human rights issues.
  • Act as a champion for human rights across the business, driving awareness and understanding, building strong relationships and ensuring alignment and collaboration across teams.
  • Produce content for our key human rights disclosures.
  • Track external business and human rights trends, including emerging legislation, and shape how IHG responds.

What you’ll bring

  • Significant experience driving implementation of the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, in a corporate, NGO or specialist consultancy setting.
  • A track record of working on human rights investigations and remediation.
  • Confidence influencing stakeholders across business functions.
  • Exposure to a franchise business model is a bonus.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication that allow you to build meaningful relationships and influence stakeholders across the business.
  • The ability to translate complex issues into actionable insights and improvements to policies and processes.
  • A self-starter who thrives in a small, close-knit team and can operate autonomously.
