About the role

We’re looking for a Manager, New Hotel Openings Europe to join our Hotel Lifecycle & Growth team on a 6 month fixed term contract.

The role base can based from UK, Germany or France with regular travel across Europe.

This is a hands-on role supporting the successful opening of new IHG hotels across Europe.

You’ll work closely with General Managers, owners, franchise partners, project teams and internal IHG colleagues to help ensure hotels open on time, safely and to IHG brand, operational and commercial standards.

  • Your day to day
  • You’ll support a portfolio of hotel openings across Europe, helping hotels move from pre-opening planning through to successful launch.
  • Leading and supporting pre-opening activity for new IHG hotels.
  • Building strong relationships with owners, GMs, hotel teams and internal stakeholders.
  • Coordinating activity across Operations, Commercial, Brand, Finance, Legal and Hotel Lifecycle & Growth teams.
  • Supporting hotel readiness, training, systems set-up and operational standards.
  • Conducting site visits to track progress, identify risks and support problem solving.
  • Supporting pre-opening inspections and post-opening reviews.
  • What we need from you

We’re looking for someone with strong hotel operations experience, ideally gained as a General Manager or senior operational leader, with exposure to hotel openings, conversions or pre-opening projects.

  • Strong hotel operations and opening experience.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • A practical, hands-on approach.
  • Advanced organisation and project coordination skills.
  • Confidence working across different countries, cultures and teams.
  • Knowledge of PMS, GRS and/or IHG systems would be advantageous.
  • English fluency is essential; German would be highly desirable and other European languages would be beneficial.
  • This role involves regular European travel, including time on site with hotel and project teams.
