Shape confidence. Influence change. Make an impact. If you're an Internal Audit Manager or practitioner ready to manage and move beyond traditional audit delivery and into true business partnering, this is your opportunity to step in, be heard, and make a tangible difference across a global organisation. At IHG, our Global Assurance team sits at the heart of the business, supporting risk-informed decision-making, strengthening governance, and building trust across our corporate functions. This role offers real exposure, meaningful stakeholder engagement, and the chance to shape how emerging areas like ESG and HR are governed.
As a manager in our Global Internal Audit team, you'll bring insight, not just oversight, helping stakeholders understand risk, strengthen controls, and continuously improve. You will:
- Deliver audits as part of the annual Assurance plan using Global Assurance tools and methodologies
- Build trusted relationships with stakeholders across the global organisation, including the HR and Corporate Responsibility functions
- Lead risk-based discussions to understand key processes, controls, and governance frameworks
- Assess the effectiveness and proportionality of existing controls
- Provide clear, practical recommendations that add real value
- Communicate findings with impact, promoting an understanding of risk and strong governance
- Document processes, risks, and conclusions clearly and consistently
You'll also have the opportunity to contribute to evolving audit areas including ESG disclosures, employee initiatives, and wider transformation initiatives.
This isn't a 'tick-box' audit role. With a strong focus on ESG and HR, areas where internal audit continues to increase its footprint, you'll play a key role in building relationships, shaping understanding, and driving discussions on risk and governance from the ground up. As part of one Global Assurance team, you'll also gain exposure across different parts of the business as priorities evolve.
What you'll bring:
- Experience in internal audit in-house or Big 4 experience, within a complex, global business
- An understanding of ESG and ESG reporting requirements
- A professional qualification (CISA, ACCA, ACA, CIA, MBA or equivalent work experience)
- Demonstrated ability to establish credibility with senior management in complex organisations
- The ability to translate risk into clear, practical insight
What you can expect:
- Genuine opportunity to influence and add value
- Exposure to senior leaders and global stakeholders
- A role that blends audit expertise with strategic partnering
- The chance to shape how governance frameworks are established in a global organisation
If you're looking for a role where your insight drives change, and where you can truly partner with the business, we'd love to hear from you. The closing date for applications is Sunday 31st May 2026. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis, so early submission is advised.
