This role is critical to helping develop a strong learning culture by being responsible for analysing the impact of global and regional learning activities at IHG to provide data-driven insights to demonstrate the impact of the offer and inform how we target our resources and invest where it makes the biggest difference.
Key Accountabilities
- Collect, interpret, and analyze complex datasets to uncover trends, risks, and opportunities that inform strategic decisions.
- Present insights to stakeholders using visualization tools and storytelling techniques to drive alignment and action.
- Lead the development of dashboards, reports and visualizations using tools like PowerPoint and Tableau.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity and consistency of the data used for decision making; collaborate with the GCP data strategy team.
- Provide input to the selection, implementation and maintenance of learning technology.
- Carry out user acceptance testing and advise on suitability of learning technology and tools.
- Partner with IHG University and learning stakeholders to translate business requirements, set up data quality monitoring and ensure data accuracy.
- Foster collaboration with other departments to understand their needs and ensure that data initiatives are relevant and impactful.
- Support building and maintaining learning models to support forecasting, scenario planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Provide ad hoc guidance and education to global training teams on how to use and interpret metrics, creating well-informed advocates for learning measurement.
Key Skills & Experiences
- Education: Bachelor's in a relevant field of work in business, economics or statistics or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experience.
- Experience: 5 years progressive work-related experience in analytics, project management, database design & administration. Experience with data mining and analysis. Significant work-related experience in gathering, tracking, manipulating and analyzing data. Demonstrated experience in the use of learning analytics to drive strategic insight and support effective decision making. Experience of presenting data and insight to influence stakeholders. Experience of building data and measurement frameworks. Experience of partnering with stakeholders to gather data and insight. Experience of working in a global team and building strong trusting relationships with stakeholders.
- Technical Skills & Knowledge: Proficiency in SQL and data manipulation techniques. Proficiency in Excel. Experience with data visualization tools. Effective verbal and written communication and storytelling skills. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong business acumen and critical thinking abilities.
