Canary Riverside Plaza London, Vignette Collection is on the lookout for a dynamic Director of Sales to inspire and lead! Joining the IHG portfolio in Summer 2026, this exciting new chapter marks the brand’s first property in London. Set in the heart of Canary Wharf with stunning views across the River Thames and London skyline, the hotel features 142 luxurious guestrooms and suites, stylish dining spaces, meeting and events facilities, and access to a luxury health club, spa, and pool.
As part of Vignette Collection, the hotel blends luxury hospitality with authentic, experiential, and considerate travel while celebrating individuality, locality, and meaningful guest experiences in one of London’s most dynamic destinations.
As a Director of Sales, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests' needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities:
- Leading our proactive sales team, training them on best practice and supporting them to produce excellence.
- Delivering new direct business/pipeline aligned with the business needs and managing budgeted sales across all segments with a particular focus on Group, Corporate, and Luxury.
- Generating new business leads through a variety of avenues including social media and supporting the renegotiation of existing annual agreements in line with the Hotels KPIs.
- Reporting and tracking sales through sales performance reports (using targets, KPIs, and sales objectives) and identifying any problems (then working to resolve them).
- Working independently within your department and with the wider Hotel team to consolidate board sales packs and monthly commercial reviews.
- Using best practice, continuously improving processes and identifying areas which efficiency can be streamlined.
We are searching for someone who is passionate about people, thrives on delivering authentic service, and takes pride in creating thoughtful guest experiences. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has:
- Availability to work typically on a Monday-Friday schedule, however additional hours in evenings and weekends may be required due to business needs.
- Experience at Director of Sales or a senior management role within a busy Sales team (ideally within a branded environment).
- A track record of sales achievements with at least 2 years’ experience in the service and hospitality industry.
- A depth of knowledge of local and UK markets, particularly Corporate and MICE experience would be highly beneficial.
- Strong strategic planning skills, ability to look ahead and put strategies in place to support the plans.
- Ability to work well under pressure, with minimal supervision and maintain high standards and attention to detail.
- Microsoft package skills and Delphi knowledge (desirable).
- Confidence in presenting information to various stakeholders in a clear and presentable way, adjusting the level of detail to the appropriate stakeholder.
