A âLondon Hotel Like No Other,â Kimpton Fitzroy London is an iconic 19th-century building which meets the London of today. We are looking for an experienced and commercially minded Executive Housekeeper to lead our Housekeeping operation and drive exceptional cleanliness standards, operational excellence, and team performance across our hotel. Reporting directly to the Hotel Manager, this is a key senior leadership position within the hotel, responsible for protecting the hotelâs physical assets, delivering outstanding guest satisfaction, and managing departmental financial performance.
As Executive Housekeeper, you will:
- Lead, organise and inspire a large Housekeeping team to consistently exceed brand cleanliness standards and deliver operational excellence.
- Plan staffing levels in line with occupancy and productivity targets.
- Conduct structured inspections of guest rooms, public areas and back-of-house spaces.
- Partner closely with Front Office and Engineering to ensure seamless room readiness and preventative maintenance.
- Oversee VIP arrivals, special requests and guest preference delivery.
- Monitor guest feedback platforms and implement improvement action plans.
- Drive measurable improvements in guest satisfaction metrics through structured quality control processes.
- Manage departmental budgets, payroll productivity, cost per occupied room and inventory control to ensure strong commercial performance.
- Contribute to annual CAPEX strategy, refurbishment planning and asset lifecycle management in partnership with Hotel Manager.
- Champion sustainability initiatives including waste reduction, chemical management and linen optimisation.
- Drive recruitment, training, succession planning and performance management within the department.
What Weâre Looking For
- Minimum 4 yearsâ managerial experience within housekeeping operations in a full-service, luxury or lifestyle hotel.
- Strong financial acumen with experience managing departmental budgets and productivity.
- Proven ability to lead and develop large operational teams.
- High attention to detail with structured quality control processes.
- Experience with Opera PMS, Unifocus (or equivalent) and Microsoft Office.
- Fluent English (additional languages are an advantage).
