The Manchester Deansgate Hotel is on the lookout for a dynamic Conference and Banqueting Supervisor to join the excitement and become part of the IHG Hotels and Resorts family! Welcome to the Manchester Deansgate Hotel, where modern luxury travel meets the vibrant spirit of Manchester. Nestled in the iconic Beetham Tower, this hotel features 279 elegantly designed rooms with stunning skyline views. Enjoy upscale amenities, including sky bar Cloud 23, 2 Rosette Podium Restaurant, an indoor pool, and a fitness centre. Perfect for both business and leisure travellers, with 14 meeting rooms and over 1,800 square feet of event space.

We are looking for someone who can work 24-hours per week, across a variety of shifts so being flexible with shifts is essential! As our C&B Operations Supervisor you serve as a departmental role model or mentor by working alongside the events team to perform technical or functional job duties. You are able to encourage and motivate the team to perform their best and you take responsibility for tasks you are assigned and can make the right decision and provide input on possible improvements. Communication skills are key as you will need to collaborate with other departments to ensure the events run efficiently.

To succeed as our C&B Supervisor, you will:

  • Develop and maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments.
  • Partner with and assist others to promote an environment of teamwork and achieve common goals.
  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a Senior Waiter / Team Leader role within Banqueting/Meeting and Events.
  • Experience within a 5* hotel or property of similar size and complexity.
  • Previous experience with Delphi and Micros.
