At InterContinental London Park Lane, we are currently looking for a Bar Manager to join the Arch Bar & Wellington Lounge team in the heart of Mayfair.

Our hotel redefines traditional luxury, offering a blend of modernity and flexible sophistication in the heart of Mayfair. Inspired by its scenic views overlooking two Royal Parks, our establishment boasts elegant natural interiors and award-winning seasonal cuisine.

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Bar Manager to lead the bar team across the prestigious Arch Bar and Wellington Lounge at one of London’s most distinguished five-star addresses. As our Bar Manager, you will be accountable for the day-to-day performance of the outlets whilst working alongside the team to deliver results by exceeding the guests’ expectations. You will oversee the scheduling of team members, ensuring the most effective and efficient use of resources to consistently deliver brand standards; ensure all colleagues have the tools they need along with your guidance and expertise. You need to excel at engaging with guests and be able to deliver five-star service in a fast-paced environment. You will be able to recognise departmental challenges and solve multiple undefined problems, improving processes, systems, and product. You will conduct performance reviews, regular check-ins and be responsible for engagement of the team, delivering in-the-moment coaching as well as regular individual training. You need to show awareness of market trends and be prepared to implement new initiatives and demonstrate collaboration with other departments. The ideal candidate will have full flexibility, working a variety of shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, inspire, and develop the bar team to deliver exceptional service standards.
  • Champion and elevate the beverage programme across the Arch Bar & Wellington Lounge, supporting other outlets as necessary.
  • Drive menu engineering strategy, including cost control, GP optimisation, and seasonal innovation.
  • Maintain rigorous operational standards in line with five-star luxury expectations.
  • Oversee stock management, supplier relationships, and compliance.
  • Deliver an engaging guest experience that reflects the property’s prestige and reputation.

Candidate Profile

  • Minimum 3+ years of leadership experience in a bar setting.
  • At least 18 months in a current or previous management role.
  • Proven management experience within a five-star property in London.
  • Demonstrated expertise in menu engineering and design, and commercial awareness.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to motivate high-performing teams.
  • Commercially astute, detail-oriented, and service-driven.
