At voco Grand Central Hotel and Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel, we are looking for a Part Time Cluster Human Resources Coordinator to join us! People are at the heart of everything we do, and we're looking for someone who believes that great people experiences don't happen by chance, they happen because someone genuinely cares enough to make them happen. This isn't just an HR administration role. It's an opportunity to become a trusted part of two of Glasgow's most iconic hotels, helping shape every stage of the colleague journey whilst creating memorable experiences for the people who make our hotels what they are.

Working across voco Grand Central Glasgow and Kimpton Blythswood Square Hotel & Spa, you'll join a passionate People Team that believes in taking ownership, doing the right thing and creating workplaces where colleagues genuinely feel they belong. At voco Grand Central, we combine over 140 years of history with a warm Glasgow welcome. From our iconic Champagne Central Bar to Scotland's largest naturally lit ballroom, every day is different and every colleague helps tell our story. At Kimpton Blythswood Square, luxury meets personality. We pride ourselves on creating exceptional guest experiences through authentic human connection, and that starts with looking after our people.

About the Role

We're looking for a proactive, confident and organised HR Generalist who thrives in a fast‑paced environment and enjoys building relationships just as much as they enjoy keeping things organised. Working 24 hours per week across Tuesday to Friday, you'll be at the centre of our HR operation, supporting colleagues and managers across every stage of the employee lifecycle. This is a varied, hands‑on role where you'll have the opportunity to make a real impact every day. Alongside supporting recruitment, onboarding, employee relations and HR administration, you'll play a key role in delivering engaging face‑to‑face induction and compliance training, ensuring every new colleague receives an exceptional welcome and the knowledge they need to succeed from day one.

We're looking for someone who enjoys being visible, approachable and hands‑on. Someone who is equally confident standing in front of a room delivering engaging training as they are supporting managers with people matters, coordinating recruitment or ensuring HR processes run seamlessly behind the scenes. If you're passionate about developing people, creating brilliant first impressions and making a genuine difference every day, we'd love to hear from you.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Be the first point of contact for HR queries, providing practical advice and guidance to colleagues and managers.
  • Deliver engaging face‑to‑face induction and compliance training, creating a positive, informative and memorable first impression for every new colleague.
  • Manage the employee lifecycle from recruitment and onboarding through to colleague changes and departures.
  • Support managers with recruitment, interviews and onboarding, ensuring a best‑class candidate and new starter experience.
  • Assist with employee relations cases, ensuring a fair, supportive and consistent approach.
  • Coordinate payroll administration and maintain accurate HR records and HR systems.
  • Support colleague engagement, recognition and wellbeing initiatives that help create a culture where people feel valued and belong.
  • Ensure HR processes remain compliant, organised and completed to a high standard.
  • Build strong relationships across both hotels, providing visible, hands‑on HR support and helping managers and colleagues succeed every day.

What We're Looking For

  • A minimum of two years' experience in a Generalist HR role.
  • Proven experience delivering engaging face‑to‑face training, including inductions, compliance training or operational training, with the confidence to facilitate sessions for colleagues at all levels.
  • Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills with the ability to influence and engage others.
  • Outstanding organisation, attention to detail and the ability to prioritise effectively in a busy environment.
  • A genuine passion for people and creating exceptional colleague experiences.
  • Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office and HR systems.
  • The ability to handle confidential information with professionalism, integrity and discretion.
  • Previous experience within a hotel or hospitality environment would be highly desirable, although we also welcome applicants with transferable experience gained within other fast‑paced, customer‑focused organisations.

Why Join Us?

You'll become part of a supportive, high‑performing HR team where you'll have the opportunity to broaden your experience, develop your career and genuinely influence the colleague experience across two award‑winning hotels. This role offers real variety and exposure across all areas of HR. Whether you're delivering training, supporting recruitment, coaching managers, coordinating engagement initiatives or helping colleagues through key moments in their career, you'll have the opportunity to build valuable experience and make a meaningful difference. We're committed to helping our people grow and we'll support your development every step of the way, including opportunities to work towards professional HR qualifications such as CIPD.

What You'll Receive

  • Up to £16.50 per hour, depending on experience.
  • 28 days annual leave (pro rata), including bank holidays, increasing with service to a maximum of 33 days.
  • One paid volunteering day each year.
  • Free meals whilst on duty.
  • Company sick pay and life assurance.
  • £5 per day city centre parking at NCP Oswald Street.
  • 50% discount in Champagne Central at voco Grand Central and iasg Restaurant at Kimpton Blythswood Square.
  • Fantastic employee discounts across IHG hotels, restaurants and experiences worldwide.
  • Access to discounts at over 15,000 retailers.
