Joining the IHG portfolio in Summer 2026 as Canary Riverside Plaza London, Vignette Collection - this exciting new chapter marks the brand’s first property in London. Set in the heart of Canary Wharf with stunning views across the River Thames and London skyline, the hotel features 142 luxurious guestrooms and suites, stylish dining spaces, meeting and events facilities and access to a luxury health club, spa and pool. As part of Vignette Collection, the hotel blends luxury hospitality with authentic, experiential and considerate travel while celebrating individuality, locality and meaningful guest experiences in one of London’s most dynamic destinations.

As a Sous Chef, your day-to-day will be driven by our Guests needs, however you can expect to cover the following duties and responsibilities (not all encompassing):

  • Being accountable for the Kitchen operation including production, cleanliness and safe systems of work.
  • Supporting to create and developing dishes on our menu to celebrate local cuisine and keep up to date with food trends.
  • Develop and support our Chef team, training and upskilling our Chefs to ensure everyone is able to provide excellent culinary experiences for our guests.

We are searching for someone who is passionate about people, thrives on delivering authentic service and takes pride in creating thoughtful guest experiences. In addition to this, we are looking for someone who has:

  • To have been a Senior Chef De Partie or Sous Chef within a similar sized property.
  • To have completed level 3 Food Safety certification and have knowledge in HACCP.
  • Knowledge of appropriate systems to support operational processes – such as Micros Simphony (or relevant POS) and Procure Wizard.
  • Knowledge of appropriate working to brand standards relating to food and the ability to create and deliver appropriate menus, using appropriate suppliers and product.
  • To be part of external networks and up to date with critical issues and trends in food.
  • Technical skills to work on every section for every service period in the kitchen.
