The Palace Hotel, Southend-on-Sea is on the lookout for a passionate Chef De Partie to join the team! Join the excitement and become part of the team at The Palace Hotel, Southend-on-Sea by IHG – an exciting new addition to IHG Hotels & Resorts. As the hotel prepares for its future transition to Garner, we're bringing a fresh, purposefully different hospitality experience to Southend-on-Sea.
We are looking for someone who can work Part‑Time, 24 hours across 3 shifts per week. To be successful in this role, you will be responsible for a range of duties while demonstrating the following skills and experience:
- Supporting the kitchen team in the preparation and delivery of F&B service to ensure high-quality dishes are served efficiently and on time.
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised kitchen environment in line with food hygiene and health & safety standards.
- Previous experience as a Breakfast Chef, Chef de Partie or similar kitchen role within a hotel or restaurant environment would be advantageous.
- Strong culinary skills with the ability to work efficiently during early morning service periods.
- Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and HACCP standards.
- A reliable, punctual and team‑focused approach with the ability to work well under pressure.
