Holiday Inn Newport is owned and operated by QN Hotels under licence from Intercontinental Hotel Group. Having undergone an extensive refurbishment of the hotel lobby areas, we now offer a new Modern & Vibrant lobby, surrounded with colourful décor and modern co-working spaces. We host 119 bedrooms, 30 of which are Executive bedrooms, and we have 12 Meetings rooms; our largest room can accommodate up to 460 guests.

Your day to day:

As a Reservations and Group Sales team member, it would be your responsibility to coordinate and control accommodation bookings at the hotel. A high level of written and verbal communication skills will be required. You will need to be analytical, confident in dealing with people over the telephone, and able to meet the needs of both the guest and the hotel (the role will be full time Monday - Friday).

What We Need From You:

  • Effectively deal with all telephone and email inquiries.
  • Take and input bookings via different channels, entering the correct details into the property management system.
  • Maintain a proficient relationship with agencies and corporate companies.
  • Ensure all guest requirements have been satisfied throughout the booking process.
  • Be fully knowledgeable of the facilities available within the hotel.
  • Effectively communicate with all departments all details of upcoming arrivals, including but not limited to special request bookings and last-minute changes.
  • Complete all group enquiries timely and accurately and log for conversion purposes or refused analysis.
  • Ensure correct company/agent profiles attached, correct market segmentation and sources linked for accurate tracking purposes.
  • Ensure business is contracted and chased in line with the hotel policy.
  • Input Rooming lists and follow up on special requests or needs.
  • Ensure payment schedules are followed as per hotel policy and invoices processed accurately and swiftly.
