We are seeking an experienced Marina General Manager to lead the dayâtoâday operations of a highâprofile marina in London. This role is responsible for delivering safe, efficient, and profitable marina operations while providing bestâinâclass service to owners, guests, and stakeholders.
You will lead an established team, act as the primary point of contact for all marinaârelated matters, and ensure seamless integration with the wider Estate.
Key Responsibilities- Lead, motivate, and develop a team of approximately 10 marina professionals, fostering a culture of service excellence and operational discipline.
- Act as the principal contact for marina customers, partners, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
- Ensure safe, secure, and compliant marina operations at all times.
- Maintain a strong onâsite presence, engaging directly with arriving and departing vessels and anticipating customer needs.
- Develop and deliver marina operating plans, budgets, and performance targets.
- Control operating costs, manage purchasing, and maintain accurate financial and operational records.
- Ensure all marina staff consistently meet the highest standards of presentation, professionalism, and conduct.
- Oversee maintenance activities in collaboration with Estate teams, including capital works and preventative maintenance.
- Support marina marketing initiatives and revenueâgenerating events in coordination with the IGY Marketing team.
- Attend relevant industry events, trade shows, and conferences to promote the marina.
- Complete all required operational, sales, and performance reporting.
- Full responsibility for recruitment, training, scheduling, performance management, and development of marina staff.
- Address employee issues, resolve complaints, and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable legislation.
You are a confident marina leader with strong commercial awareness and a handsâon management style. You are equally comfortable engaging with highâvalue clients as you are managing operations, safety, and performance behind the scenes.
Essential Experience & Skills- 5+ years proven experience managing a marina or operating in a senior role within the maritime leisure industry.
- Strong leadership and peopleâmanagement capability.
- IT literate (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Commercially minded with experience managing budgets and operational targets.
- This role is primarily siteâbased and involves working outdoors in a marina environment.
