Company Description
Iguana Group is a creative exhibition design consultancy with over 33 years of experience in delivering bespoke and innovative solutions. Specialized in exhibitions, events, and brand activations, the company provides turnkey services tailored to meet client needs. With a focus on quality and creativity, Iguana Group helps brands engage effectively with their audiences. Our mission is to elevate exhibitions by rejecting mediocrity in everything we do—delivering exceptional creativity, uncompromising quality, and service that consistently goes beyond what our clients expect. Good enough is never good enough.
Role Description
The Telesales Executive will be responsible for initiating contact with potential clients, nurturing prospects, and setting up appointments for the sales team. This role requires a confident communicator who can leverage all modern forms of business communication—including telephone, email, LinkedIn, video calls, messaging platforms, and CRM tools—to generate interest in our services and convert cold leads into warm opportunities. The primary channel for sales in our industry continues to be conducting outbound calls to potential clients across target industries (e.g., B2B brands, marketing agencies, event organizers). The secondary channel is attending exhibitions and events to “show walk” and generate leads face-to-face. This may involve travel to other cities and other countries as necessary.
- Use LinkedIn and other professional networks to identify, engage, and qualify prospects.
- Write compelling outreach emails and follow-ups to initiate conversations and promote our exhibition design services.
- Utilize CRM software to manage leads, track interactions, and update contact records with detailed notes.
- Conduct virtual discovery calls when necessary to qualify leads before passing to the sales team.
- Follow up on inbound inquiries and marketing-generated leads to ensure timely and effective engagement.
- Work with the sales teams to refine lead generation strategies and messaging.
- Maintain a consistent volume of outreach activity while meeting or exceeding targets for leads.
- Attend occasional industry events, trade shows, or virtual expos to assist with live lead generation.
Skills / Qualities
- Willingness to graft and play “the numbers game” with outbound selling volumes.
- Strong and confident communication and must be prepared to approach and/or talk to people they have not met before to engage them in discussion about their exhibition targets.
- The candidate will engage with difficult people from time to time so must be able to handle this accordingly.
- Initiative is essential to this role. Although we have documented processes and guidelines within which the team operate, we expect individuals to continually look for alternative avenues for generating new business and bring their ideas to the table.
- A team attitude is a key attribute. Each salesperson within Iguana has their own individual targets to work towards, but it’s important that we look to grow the business together as a team, providing support where appropriate and ensuring the success of all team members.
- Must have a valid UK passport and be able to travel freely.
