JOB TITLE: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH ADMINISTRATOR
LOCATION: HOME WORKING – WILL BE CALLED IN OCCASIONALLY FOR MEETINGS AT CARDIFF GATE
REPORTS TO: OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH ADMINISTRATION MANAGER
HOURS: 37.5HRS – MONDAY TO FRIDAY 9AM-5PM
SALARY: £12.10 per hour
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Occupational Health Admin Assistant to support our Occupational Health team. The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth administration of occupational health services, assisting with scheduling, record-keeping, and communication between employees and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to the Occupational Health department.
- Schedule and coordinate health assessments, medical appointments, and follow-ups for employees.
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee health records in compliance with GDPR and company policies.
- Assist with the processing of occupational health referrals and documentation.
- Respond to employee and management queries regarding occupational health procedures.
- Liaise with external occupational health providers as required.
- Prepare reports and correspondence related to occupational health activities.
- Support in health promotion activities, such as wellbeing campaigns and initiatives.
- Manage office supplies and equipment related to the department.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with workplace health and safety regulations.
Requirements and skills:
- Previous experience in an administrative role, preferably within a healthcare or occupational health setting.
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality.
- Understanding of GDPR and data protection regulations.
- Ability to prioritise tasks and work efficiently under pressure.
- A proactive and flexible approach to work.
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience working within an Occupational Health or HR environment.
- Knowledge of occupational health procedures and regulations.
- Certification or training in administration or healthcare support.
