This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic, multidisciplinary team and play a key role in delivering high-quality, person-centred care for adults with complex mental health needs.
About the Service This 19-bed high-dependency hospital supports adult males with a range of mental health conditions, including personality disorders, learning disabilities, and autism spectrum disorders. The service is designed to promote recovery, resilience, and successful reintegration into the community.
Your Role as Ward Manager
- Provide clinical and operational leadership to nursing and support staff.
- Ensure safe, effective, and compassionate care delivery.
- Manage ward resources, including staffing, equipment, and medicines.
- Maintain high standards of documentation, compliance, and cleanliness.
- Contribute to service development, audits, and quality improvement.
- Work collaboratively with the senior leadership team and MDT.
What We’re Looking For
- NMC or HCPC registration (essential).
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Strong clinical knowledge and a passion for mental health care.
- Experience in staff rostering, service improvement, and audit.
- Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
- Willingness to undertake further leadership and management training.
