iGo Recruitment is supporting a specialist healthcare consultancy delivering a high-profile project reviewing and redesigning some of the most complex and highest-cost Continuing Healthcare packages in the UK. This is not a standard CHC Assessor role. We're seeking experienced RNLDs who will review, redesign to right-fit complex care packages for individuals with significant and often highly specialised support needs. This is an opportunity to influence care provision, funding arrangements and long-term outcomes through robust clinical assessment and evidence-based decision making.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Conducting complex Learning Disability CHC assessments and reviews.
  • Reviewing existing care packages and support arrangements.
  • Recommending clinically appropriate package redesigns.
  • Carefully reviewing commissioning and funding decisions through robust clinical analysis and providing recommendations.
  • Working closely with individuals, families, providers and Local Authorities.
  • Determining health and social care responsibilities.
  • Supporting negotiations around care provision and funding.
  • Producing detailed reports capable of supporting future appeals and reviews.
  • Helping develop robust, sustainable care solutions for complex cases.

What We're Looking For

  • Registered Learning Disability Nurse (RNLD).
  • Strong Continuing Healthcare assessment experience including Section 117 review, audit and right-fit analysis.
  • Experience reviewing high-cost and complex packages of care.
  • Excellent assessment, report-writing and clinical reasoning skills.
  • Experience of representing case reviews and presenting evidence at independent case reviews.
  • Experience of pre-COVID CHC, experience of working within commissioning teams.
  • Ability to work autonomously and manage challenging cases.
  • Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.

Ideal Backgrounds

  • RNLD CHC Assessors
  • Complex Case Managers
  • CHC Review Nurses
  • Clinical Leads
  • Continuing Healthcare Specialists
  • Learning Disability Commissioners
  • Complex Care Review Clinicians
  • ICB Clinical Review Teams

What Success Looks Like

  • Delivering outstanding clinical assessments and reviews.
  • Making recommendations that improve outcomes and care quality.
  • Supporting commissioners with complex decision-making.
  • Ensuring care packages remain clinically appropriate and financially sustainable.

Why Join?

  • £300-£330 per day Outside IR35
  • Fully remote working
  • 12-month contract
  • Major transformation programme
  • Complex and meaningful casework
  • Quality-focused assessments rather than high-volume caseloads
  • Opportunity to influence future care provision and commissioning decisions

Please note: This role is aimed at experienced clinicians with Continuing Healthcare assessment and complex care review experience. It is not suitable for newly qualified nurses or candidates without CHC experience.
