We are looking for Senior Nurse RMN or RNLD with a minimum of 18 months\’ post-qualification experience Deputy Ward Manager RMN RNLD essential requirements: – Valid, active NMC pin with no restrictions present – At least 18 month of post-qualification experience as RMN or RNLD The role: * 2 weeks of induction on starting the role including agreed shadowing time * Working 20% of contracted hours in supernumerary capacity to undertake the deputy role * The role is at a 10-bedded female PICU ward that support patients who exhibit mental state or clinical behaviour which seriously compromises their physical or psychological wellbeing or that of others; All patients on PICU are detained under the Mental Health Act (1983). * Able to support junior staff in their professional development, through excellent and effective clinical leadership, mentoring, teaching and sharing of knowledge and practice * Promote the best interest of clients and carers and ensure that prescribed nursing care in consistently implemented to your allocated patients * Assess, plan and deliver nursing care which considers patient choices and wishes, while acting as the patients’ named nurse * Carry out patient assessments and evaluate their progress accurately * Evaluate and respond to changes in patient conditions as appropriate * Prioritise nursing duties and delegate as appropriate * Supervises a defined group of Nursing or HCA colleagues, ensuring they receive management and clinical supervisions * Maintain a continued level of personal professional development in accordance to preceptorship and revalidation * Work in accordance with safeguarding adults and children policies and requirements * Ensure the requirements of the Mental Health, Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Standards are met * Adhere to Medicine Management policies at all times * Pay enhancements: Monday to Friday (nights) 22:00 – 6:30 20% of hourly rate Saturday All Day 20% of hourly rate Sunday All Day 50% hourly rate Bank holidays All Day 50% hourly rate Post Benefits: * Annual leave – 25 days annual leave + 8 bank holidays (increase with service) * Birthday holiday * Enhanced maternity benefits * Pension scheme * Private medical insurance for you and your family * Life assurance * Medical Indemnity * Support with professional development and CPD * Reimbursement of NMC registration fee * Career progression opportunities * Free on-site parking * Free meals on duty * Flexible benefits (including preferential rates and access to schemes such as gym membership IT, healthcare cash plan, shopping discounts) * Relocation support (including payment for accommodation or moving costs) up to £3,000 (T&Cs apply) Apply now to discuss if this role could be a good fit for you
