Hybrid home‐based working. Starting salary £45,500‐£47,500/pa + benefits + 10% yearly bonus.

Qualifications

  • Valid NMC pin
  • Minimum 12 months experience as a nurse (RN, RGN, RMN, RNLD)
  • Appropriate home workspace with broadband connection (equipment provided)
  • No previous health and disability assessor experience required – full, paid training is provided

Responsibilities

  • Compile 5‐6 assessments + reports a day once training is completed
  • Full 12‐week initial training – 6 weeks virtual remote teaching and assessments, followed by 6 weeks probation with mentor support
  • Conduct impartial, holistic health and disability assessments only – no decision on claim outcomes
  • Carry out telephone, video and/or face‐to‐face functional assessments to establish any functional restriction caused by a claimant's health concern
  • Be the point of contact during the consultation stage for claimants with a wide range of health conditions and disabilities
  • Liaise with clinical peers across NHS, private sector, charities and support organisations to obtain evidence for detailed reports
  • Compile reports for review and decision as to eligibility
  • File work (training provided)
