What you'll do:

  • Provide strategic and operational clinical leadership as Medical Director.
  • Oversee medical workforce planning, appraisals, revalidation and practising privileges.
  • Lead clinical governance, investigations, incident/complaint reviews and crisis management.
  • Ensure safe, effective medical cover (including out-of-hours arrangements).
  • Maintain your own clinical caseload within a private addictions service.
  • Represent the service with commissioners, partners and stakeholders.

What you'll bring:

  • MRCPsych (or equivalent), CCT (or equivalent), Section 12(2) and Approved Clinician status.
  • Listed on the GMC specialist register in Psychiatry.
  • Minimum three years at Consultant level with evidence of MDT leadership.
  • Experience in Addictions and General Adult Psychiatry; values-based, evidence-led practice.
  • Leadership/management training or willingness to undertake it.
