We are looking for a highly organised, commercially minded Sales Executive to take ownership of the front end of Igniyte's inbound sales pipeline.
This is not a traditional high-volume cold sales role. You will be the first line of contact for new enquiries coming into the business, making sure every viable opportunity is understood, qualified and moved forward efficiently.
Some leads will need to be quickly identified and passed to a senior or specialist member of the team. Others you will contact directly, by telephone or email, to understand their requirements, gather further information and determine the appropriate next step.
Above all, we want someone who takes ownership of the pipeline and makes sure nothing commercially valuable falls through the cracks.
You will manage new inbound opportunities from the point they enter the business, helping us improve the speed, consistency and efficiency of our sales process.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Acting as the first point of contact for new inbound sales enquiries.
- Reviewing and pre-qualifying leads based on their requirements, suitability, urgency, budget and commercial potential.
- Contacting prospective clients by telephone and email to gather further information and understand what they need.
- Progressing appropriate opportunities yourself and identifying those that need to be handed to a senior or specialist member of the team.
- Coordinating calls, meetings and internal handovers.
- Ensuring prospects are followed up consistently and at the right time.
- Maintaining accurate and comprehensive information within our CRM.
- Managing sales tasks, next actions, pipeline stages and follow-up dates.
- Identifying opportunities that have stalled and proactively getting them moving again.
- Supporting improvements to sales processes, workflows, templates and automation.
- Helping us understand lead quality, conversion, response times and performance across the sales funnel.
The Person
We're looking for someone who is commercially minded, highly organised and naturally process-driven.
You should take genuine satisfaction from keeping a sales pipeline organised, moving and under control.
You will:
- Dislike seeing a CRM record without a clear next action. Every viable opportunity should have an owner, a next step and a follow-up date.
- Be naturally curious about every new lead. You'll want to understand who they are, what they need, why they've contacted us and whether there is a genuine commercial opportunity.
- Be comfortable picking up the phone. If an email exchange is taking too long, you'll call the prospect and get the information needed.
- Notice when leads are going cold. You won't need someone else to remind you that a prospect needs following up.
- Know when to progress something yourself and when to evolve it. You'll recognise when an opportunity needs senior or specialist input and get it to the right person quickly.
- Care about CRM accuracy. Missing information, outdated stages, overdue tasks and poorly maintained records should bother you.
- Think in systems and processes. You'll naturally look for ways to make qualification, follow-up and handover faster and more consistent.
- Be commercially aware without trying to sell to everyone. Good qualification sometimes means recognising that an opportunity isn't right for Igniyte.
- Communicate confidently and professionally. Our enquiries range from individuals and entrepreneurs through to executives, lawyers and major organisations.
- Take ownership. If a lead enters the business, you'll want to know what happened to it.
CRM & Systems
Strong experience using CRM and sales management systems is essential.
We use Attio, so previous Attio experience would be particularly valuable. However, experience with other modern CRM platforms such as HubSpot, Salesforce or Pipedrive is equally relevant.
More important than the specific platform is how you use it.
We want someone who understands that a CRM isn't simply somewhere to store contact details. It should be the engine behind an organised sales operation, with clear stages, tasks, follow-ups, ownership and next actions.
You should also be comfortable learning new technology and using workflows, automation and other systems to improve efficiency.
About Igniyte
Igniyte is a specialist online reputation management company working with individuals, executives, entrepreneurs and organisations in the UK and internationally.
Our work covers online reputation management, search, content, digital strategy, PR and the removal or suppression of unwanted online content.
This means our inbound enquiries can be varied, sensitive and sometimes complex. One enquiry might concern an individual looking for help with a single Google result, while another could develop into a substantial corporate reputation management programme.
You'll need to quickly understand the difference and ensure each opportunity receives the appropriate response.
What Success Looks Like
Success in this role isn't simply measured by how many sales you make.
We want to see:
- Faster response to inbound opportunities.
- Strong and more consistent lead qualification.
- Every viable opportunity having a clear next action.
- Consistent and timely follow-up.
- Clean and accurate CRM data.
- Better internal handovers.
- Fewer opportunities becoming unnecessarily dormant.
- Improved visibility over the sales pipeline.
- Increasing conversion of good-quality inbound enquiries.
Ultimately, you will help drive the efficiency of Igniyte's sales channel.
If you're the kind of person who opens a CRM, sees an opportunity with no next action and immediately wants to fix it, we'd like to hear from you.
