Job Description: Are you an experienced teacher of maths or science with a passion for inspiring young people? Do you want to focus on without the burden of administrative tasks? If so, tutoring with Ignito Tuition might be the perfect opportunity for you!
We are looking for an experienced teacher to plan and deliver Maths and/or Science tuition to small groups of students during weekday evenings. This is a hybrid role, offering flexibility to work both in our classroom unit on the North Lynn Industrial Estate and online. Enjoy the flexibility of self-employment, working with us to set your own schedule while making a meaningful impact.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging Maths/Science lessons to small groups of 3-8 students.
- Set weekly homework tasks and review them in subsequent lessons.
- Communicate effectively with parents and students to provide updates on progress.
- Create a positive and encouraging learning environment.
- Align lessons with our high educational standards to inspire students and help them thrive.
- Monitor and respond to student messages in the week via email or Google Classroom.
- Utilise technology effectively to enhance teaching and learning experiences.
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Experience teaching primary, secondary, or A-Level students.
- Ability to teach in-person IN KING\’S LYNN (and potentially online too)
- Friendly and approachable demeanour, with excellent communication skills.
- Creative and effective lesson planning and delivery.
- IT literate, with the ability to use various educational technologies.
- Availability to monitor and respond to student messages.
Working Hours:
- In person lessons during school term time
- Weekday evenings, starting from 4pm.
- Each lesson is 1 hour long.
- Flexible hours open to discussion.
Compensation:
- Β£40 per lesson (including prep and delivery).
