Transport Clerk - the role & responsibilities:
The role will include:
- Working within the Transport department and reporting directly to the Transport FLM
- Dispatching drivers and completing driver briefs and debriefs
- Monitoring transport activities and proactively supporting the safe and efficient running of the operation
- Maintaining fleet compliance records and escalating vehicle defects as required
- Completing transport administration accurately and in line with company procedures and transport legislation
- Maintaining transport systems and completing operational reporting accurately and in a timely manner
- Investigating and resolving operational issues, escalating where appropriate
- Communicating effectively with drivers, agencies and internal stakeholders
- Supporting shift handovers to ensure continuity across the operation
- Ensuring Health & Safety standards and site rules are followed at all times
- Supporting the achievement of transport KPIs and service levels.
