With the continuing growth of our team, we are looking to recruit a Consultant Legal Director to support Ignition’s existing workload alongside their own client base.

Responsibilities

  • M&A transactions acting on buy side and sell side
  • Funding rounds, including negotiating areas such as share vesting and leaver provisions
  • Shareholders’ agreements
  • Corporate reorganisations and restructures
  • Joint ventures
  • Business Development
  • Founder exits
  • How SEIS and EIS may affect a funding round
  • Working directly with entrepreneurs, High Net Worth individuals and management teams
  • Experience of pitches and/or business development activities
  • Experience in leading training sessions on key corporate topics

Qualifications & Attributes

  • A current English Law practicing Certificate
  • At least 8+ years PQE at a recognised law firm
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • An excellent communicator with the ability to write clearly and concisely
  • Keen to develop and advance marketing skills and play an active role in business development
  • Highly efficient, with outstanding organisational skills (including time recording)
  • Proactive and interested in taking responsibility for your own career progression
  • Skilled at rapport and relationship-building at all levels, and able to build trust and respect quickly
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks at short notice
  • Solution-orientated, able to work autonomously, delegate, and prioritise your own workload
  • Able to question and challenge others and to flex your own working style when needed
  • Trustworthy and aware of the need for confidentiality
  • A team player who actively contributes to support the goals of the senior leadership team
  • An interest in working directly with entrepreneurs and new businesses

We will pay a very competitive hourly rate (with a discretionary annual success payment based on billable and non-billable performance) to someone who is able to join us, get their sleeves rolled up and help build on our success.
