Ignite is delighted to be partnering with a high-growth FMCG brand in the search for a Senior Quality & Technical Manager. This is a pivotal role within a fast-scaling, entrepreneurial business as it continues to expand its footprint across the UK and internationally.

They are looking for a calm, detail-driven technical leader to take full ownership of quality, safety, and compliance across a diverse product portfolio. You will act as the guardian of product integrity, ensuring that every product meets the highest standards and regulatory requirements as the business scales.

Sitting at the heart of the organisation, you will work closely with NPD, Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Commercial teams, as well as external suppliers and partners. You will play a key role in driving best-in-class technical standards, resolving issues, and implementing robust systems that support sustainable growth.

You will lead all aspects of quality and compliance, including BRCGS Food Safety, HACCP, and UK/EU regulations, while overseeing supplier relationships and manufacturing standards. You will also take ownership of risk management, leading investigations into non-conformance and customer complaints, and driving continuous improvement initiatives across the business.

Alongside this, you will manage and develop a direct report, helping to build a high-performing technical function. You will also play a key role in NPD, providing technical input to ensure quality, safety, and scalability are embedded from the outset.

What skills do you need?

  • 5+ years’ experience in a food manufacturing or FMCG technical environment
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS Food Safety, HACCP, and UK/EU food legislation
  • Previous line management experience
  • Proven experience working with suppliers and manufacturers
  • Strong problem-solving and risk management capability
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field
