We are looking for an experienced Underwriter to join a collaborative and customer-focused team. In this role, you will play a key part in helping customers protect what matters most by assessing applications for Life, Critical Illness, and Income Protection cover.
You’ll work closely with colleagues across underwriting, operations, and distribution to deliver fair, consistent, and high-quality underwriting decisions while building strong relationships with brokers and key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities- Underwrite Life, Critical Illness, and Income Protection applications in line with underwriting philosophy and quality standards.
- Work collaboratively with brokers to guide applications efficiently through the underwriting process.
- Provide support and authorisation for cases assessed by less experienced underwriters.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of underwriting processes and service propositions.
- Partner with internal teams to ensure consistent customer outcomes and a seamless customer journey.
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and compliance within a regulated environment.
To succeed in this role, you will have:
