On behalf of our client based in Cheshire, we are looking for an experienced private client solicitor who is seeking a fresh challenge and the chance to progress their career. This role can be based in either their Macclesfield or Congleton office.

You will manage your own varied caseload, including drafting wills, probate and estate administration, lasting powers of attorney, Court of Protection matters and other private client work. You’ll collaborate with supportive senior colleagues while enjoying autonomy and the opportunity to build strong, long‑lasting client relationships.

What you will do:

  • Manage a broad caseload of private client matters.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through excellent communication and service.
  • Generate fee income and maintain effective control of time recording, work in progress, billing, and cash collection in line with agreed targets.
  • Collaborate with the head of department and senior management to support the team’s long‑term development and growth.
  • Provide guidance and support to junior team members when needed.
  • Offer informed and compassionate guidance to clients navigating complex and often sensitive legal matters.
  • Engage in business development activities, including building your network, developing new client relationships, and attending BD events.

About you:

  • A private client solicitor with a minimum of 5 years’ PQE.
  • Exceptional client care and communication skills.
  • Strong technical expertise across wills, probate, and estate planning.
  • Highly organised, detail‑focused, and committed to delivering an outstanding client experience.
