Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking for a new role? My client, based in Tamworth, is looking for an experienced Family Law Legal Secretary to join their team and offer valued support to the fee earners.
Duties:
- To undertake a full range of secretarial duties including audio and copy typing, word processing, file opening, filing, time recording and completion of basic legal forms.
- To attend on clients, take telephone messages and bring to the Lawyers’ attention.
- To make telephone calls to clients and others and to provide information without reference to Lawyers and to take appropriate action on messages received.
- To have a comprehension of accounts procedures and to complete accounts documents.
- To work on own initiative to progress standard fee earning work.
- To carry out any other associated duties, which may from time to time be reasonably required by the Lawyers.
Job Summary and Skills:
- To work with other staff under the direction of the Divorce and Finance Lawyers to deliver an effective service to the firm's clients.
- Skills: Fast and accurate Keyboard and IT Skills, an understanding of basic legal practice relevant to the department, excellent communication skills, organisation skills, and the ability to deal with bereaved and sometimes distressed clients.
