We're currently looking to recruit an experienced Bricklayer with either SSSTS or SMSTS to join a live school refurbishment project in Selston, Nottinghamshire.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced bricklayer looking to step into a supervisory role whilst remaining hands-on when required.
You'll be joining a well-established contractor delivering a programme of small civils and structural remediation works within a live education environment.
The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day running of the site, supervise a small team of subcontractors and support the Site Manager to ensure works are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Supervising day-to-day site activities.
- Overseeing minor brickwork, blockwork and structural repair works.
- Assisting with small civils and structural remediation activities.
- Coordinating subcontractors and ensuring works are completed safely.
- Carrying out toolbox talks and daily briefings.
- Maintaining site paperwork, RAMS and daily records.
- Liaising with the Site Manager, Contracts Manager and subcontractors.
- Assisting the trades where required to maintain programme.
- Promoting high standards of health, safety and quality throughout the project.
Essential Requirements
- Bricklaying background.
- SSSTS or SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- DBS or enhanced
- Experience working on refurbishment or structural remediation projects.
- Comfortable working within a live school environment.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
