We are currently recruiting for an experienced Freelance Site Manager to join a well-established contractor delivering social housing refurbishment works across Manchester.
This is a hands-on role overseeing a programme of occupied and void property refurbishments, including kitchen replacements, bathroom refits and general internal upgrades.
We're looking for someone who is confident managing multiple trades while also being willing to support on the tools when required to keep works progressing.
The Role
- Manage the day-to-day running of social housing refurbishment projects.
- Oversee kitchen replacements, bathroom refits and associated internal refurbishment works.
- Coordinate and supervise all trades and subcontractors on site.
- Ensure works are completed safely, on programme and to a high standard.
- Carry out site inductions, toolbox talks and health & safety inspections.
- Liaise with the Contracts Manager, tenants and clients to provide project updates.
- Complete site paperwork, quality inspections and progress reports.
- Assist on the tools where required to help maintain programme and productivity.
Requirements
- Previous experience managing social housing refurbishment projects.
- Experience overseeing kitchen and bathroom replacement programmes is essential.
- SMSTS.
- CSCS Card.
- First Aid at Work.
- Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
