We are currently recruiting for an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to join an established and ambitious main contractor based in Newcastle. The business has a strong reputation for delivering major construction schemes across the region, with a diverse portfolio covering residential, commercial, industrial, education, healthcare, leisure, public sector and other major construction projects. Due to continued growth and a strong forward order book, they are looking to appoint an experienced Estimator or Senior Estimator to join their pre-construction team and work on projects ranging from approximately 15m to 50m.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Estimator looking to take the next step in their career, or an established Senior Estimator looking to join a business with a strong pipeline of larger and more complex schemes.
The Role
- Lead and manage the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final tender submission.
- Price major construction projects ranging from approximately 15m to 50m across a variety of sectors.
- Review drawings, specifications, employer’s requirements and tender documentation.
- Complete detailed quantity take-offs and prepare accurate project rates.
