We're partnering with a leading design & build organisation in Saudi Arabia to appoint an experienced Pre-Contracts Director to lead a high-performing pre-contracts function and play a pivotal role in securing and shaping major workplace and commercial projects across the Kingdom.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for an individual who can combine commercial expertise, bid strategy, technical understanding, and stakeholder management to drive project wins and ensure successful project mobilisation.

The Opportunity

As Pre-Contracts Director, you will oversee the full pre-contract lifecycle, from early client engagement through to contract award. Working closely with senior commercial and business development leaders, you will be responsible for evaluating opportunities, leading bid strategy, ensuring commercial viability, and supporting the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Pre-Contracts and Bid Management functions.
  • Review and assess new opportunities, contributing to go/no-go decisions.
  • Drive bid strategy and oversee the preparation of high-quality tender submissions.
  • Ensure all proposals are commercially robust, technically compliant, and aligned with client requirements.
  • Manage pricing strategies, cost plans, procurement approaches, and value engineering initiatives.
  • Engage with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing and comprehensive scope coverage.
  • Provide commercial and technical input during early-stage client discussions.
  • Ensure seamless handover of successful projects into delivery teams.
  • Contribute to wider business strategy as part of the senior leadership team.

About You

  • Background in interior fit out industry ideal.
  • 8–10+ years' experience in a senior pre-contracts, estimating, commercial, or sales leadership role.
  • Strong track record of winning and delivering large-scale design & build or construction projects.
  • Deep understanding of commercial management, pricing structures, procurement, and construction methodologies.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and driving high-performance cultures.
  • Strong stakeholder management and client-facing capabilities.
  • Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or a related discipline.

  • Up to SAR 60,000 per month (approximately £12,000 per month tax free).
