About the Role
We’re looking for a proactive and highly organised Planner to join our growing design and build team in Wembley. This role is central to the successful delivery of our projects, ensuring they are planned, sequenced, and tracked from pre-construction through to handover. Working closely with project managers, commercial, technical, and site teams, you’ll help shape and maintain robust programmes that reflect both buildability and design coordination.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain detailed project programmes for high-end design and build schemes, covering RIBA Stages.
- Plan across multiple workstreams – including design development, procurement, enabling works, and construction.
- Collaborate with internal departments and external consultants to gather input for accurate sequencing and planning.
- Track progress and update master programmes in line with actual site conditions and design timelines.
- Identify and communicate potential risks, delays, or clashes, proposing mitigation strategies proactively.
- Produce short-term lookahead programmes and monitor critical path activities.
- Support tender submissions with planning input, methodology narratives, and construction sequencing advice.
- Attend progress meetings with internal teams and clients to present programme updates.
- Assist with logistics and resource planning, linking with supply chain and procurement leads.
- Maintain programme dashboards, trackers, and deliverables using CDE platforms.
Requirements
- Experience as a planner or project scheduler within a design and build or main contractor environment.
- Solid understanding of design coordination, construction sequencing, and delivery risk.
- Proficient in Asta Powerproject or MS Project (Asta preferred).
- Familiarity with managing programmes that include both off-site manufacturing and traditional construction.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to produce clear, concise programme updates and reports.
- Highly organised, detail-oriented, and calm under pressure.
Desirable
- Experience working on mixed-use, commercial, or residential schemes in London.
- Familiarity with Building Control gateways and RIBA design stages.
- Understanding of M&E sequencing and coordination with design teams.
- Previous involvement with BIM-based planning or tools like Navisworks.
