Hours: 8:00–17:00

The role involves maintaining and repairing heating plant across managed sites — including schools, care homes, leisure centres, places of worship, residential blocks and offices. You’ll deliver a mix of PPM, breakdowns, repairs and upgrades on commercial systems, ensuring safe, compliant, and tidy work.

What you’ll do:

  • Diagnose and repair domestic boilers/heating systems (first-time-fix mindset).
  • Complete CP12 gas safety certificates and all compliance documentation accurately.
  • Fit/replace parts (pumps, fans, sensors, PCBs, PRVs, AAVs, TRVs, etc.).
  • Carry out powerflushes and system water quality checks.
  • Install/replace 2-port and 3-port motorised valves and associated wiring-centre work.
  • General plumbing tasks: cylinders (vented/unvented), radiators, pipework, condensate/filling loops, leaks.
  • Use BigChange to manage jobs, notes, photos and certificates in real time.
  • Participate in the call-out rota (shared fairly and agreed in advance).

What you’ll bring:

  • Gas Safe with in-date ACS: CCN1 + CENWAT (HTR1/CKR1/MET1 as applicable).
  • Solid fault-finding and diagnostics track record on common domestic boilers/controls.
  • G3 Unvented (or willingness to obtain).
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Strong customer communication; tidy workmanship and paperwork.
  • Nice to have: basic electrical testing/boiler wiring competence; manufacturer courses (Vaillant, Worcester, Baxi, Ideal).
  • Willingness to complete DBS checks where site safeguarding requires it.
  • Supply own tools and flue analyser & calibration certificate.
