We are looking for a Fire Door Carpenter in North London who will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, inspection, and repair of fire doors in social housing properties, ensuring compliance with fire safety regulations and building codes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, repair, and maintain FD30/FD60 fire doors and associated ironmongery in social housing properties.
  • Carry out fire door inspections and remedial works in accordance with BM Trada / FIRAS / industry standards.
  • Ensure all work is compliant with current fire safety legislation and building regulations.
  • Prepare and complete job sheets, reports, and documentation using handheld or paper systems.
  • Liaise with tenants and housing officers in a professional and courteous manner.
  • Follow health and safety procedures on all work sites.
Requirements:
  • Proven experience as a carpenter, preferably with fire door installation and maintenance.
  • NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Carpentry and Joinery (or equivalent).
  • FIRAS, BM TRADA, or similar fire door accreditation (desirable).
  • Strong knowledge of fire door regulations, components, and installation techniques.
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively.
  • Full UK driving licence (if mobile role).
