Ignite Recruitment are looking for Estate Service Operatives to work in Enfield and Edmonton.
You will need a driving licence and DBS check.
The working days are Monday – Friday from 7am-3pm, with occasional weekend work available. Weekend work is optional and comes with an enhanced pay rate.
The Estates Services team is responsible for maintaining all Housing Estates, ensuring they are safe and clean for residents.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Sweeping and washing of communal staircases, foyers, balconies, passages, courtyards, car parks, hard standing areas, chute chamber rooms, and refuse storage rooms.
- Undertaking manual handling tasks.
- Cleaning and washing lift car floors and walls, lamp shades, diffusers, estate signs, estate furniture, and other communal fixtures and fittings.
- Removing extraneous matter, including sharps, drug-related materials, dog waste, etc., following health and safety guidelines.
- Disposing of overspill in refuse container storage rooms.
- Checking and unblocking refuse chutes, reporting blockages if unfixable.
- Emptying and cleaning estate litter bins and waste receptacles.
- Removing weeds and plant material from hard standing areas.
- Reporting health and safety issues and repairs.
- Suggesting improvements to public realm areas in collaboration with Neighbourhood Officers.
- Bulk rubbish removal.
